Hello Guys,

I'm working with the new Content Manager OnDemand version 9.0 PDF Indexer, and is taking long time to Index a PDF Statement Report almost 77 MB compressed an around of 300MB decompressed. So I deploy a demo environment with a Lenovo T400 Core 2 vpro (6GB RAM and CPU Freq of 2.40). The disk is a SATA 7200 RPM, but seams that the I/O throughput is very poor no more than 722KB/sec. So I don't know if CMOD is not properly configured. The same env mounted on a VMware over Mac fusion takes 2 mins to process this report.

Hope that someone of you can help me with this.

Thanks,

Regards.

Piecing together the information you've given us, the two take about the same amount of time.

77MB / 772k per second turns into:

77,000,000 / 722,000 = 106 seconds, or 1 minute and 46 seconds, or approximately two minutes.

You've told us how long it takes under emulation -- but not how long it takes on your Lenovo laptop.
