DB2 Backup Error on our Development Server
« on: March 14, 2014, 12:24:50 PM »
We are getting DB2 backup errors on our development server, this is been happening since our last upgrade but has not been a problem.  I would like to get this corrected.

We are getting the following errors.  It appears that the backup is looking at the wrong library for the volumes but I am not sure.  I have been trying to find where the backuppool/volumes are being assigned to the backup but have not had much luck.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to find the inforamtion?

03/14/14   14:06:32      ANR9905W Unable to open file /backups/tsm/94823992.dbv.
The file access permissions do not allow the specified
                          action.
03/14/14   14:06:32      ANR8501E System return code 13 received opening volume
                          /backups/tsm/94823992.DBV with file name
                          /backups/tsm/94823992.dbv
03/14/14   14:06:32      ANR1404W Scratch volume mount request denied - mount
                          failed.
03/14/14   14:06:32      ANR4578E Database backup/restore terminated - required
                          volume was not mounted.

Thanks

I absolutely hate hate hate hate hate hate when that happens. When we were integrating CMOD with Infoprint XT we saw that happen on log files and such and it was EXTREMELY annoying and no matter how much you document something it seems to fall through the cracks.
