SQLCODE = -612 when trying to add a new field to APG
« on: October 15, 2015, 06:31:22 AM »
hi

when I try to add a new field to an existing Application Group I get the error :  The server failed while accessing Application Group Data. Please contact your system administrator.

When I look in the System log, I find these messages:

    13   DB Error: {DB2 FOR OS/390}{ODBC DRIVER}{DSN11015}   DSNT408I SQLCODE = -612, ERROR:  LISTE_NAVN IS A DUPLICATE NAME                  DSNT418I SQLSTATE   = 42711 SQLSTATE RETURN CODE                                 DSNT415I SQLERRP    = DSNXIAB3 SQL PROCE

but the field has not been defined on the Application group before - so how can it be a duplicate?

any suggestions how to solve the issue?

best regards
Helle

Very strange.  Do you have access to DB2?  Can you do a 'Describe table' on the AG's last table to see if the field actually exists for some reason?  Otherwise, I think this is a bug that should be reported to IBM.

You didn't mention any version numbers -- which version of iOS / CMOD / DB2 are you on?

hi

sorry about the missing versions :    Windows 7, Administrator v. 9.0.0.2 and DB2 on z/OS v. 11 (NFM)

I have access to DB2 - but I don't know what you mean by 'describe table'?   How do I figure out which table to look at - is there an overview somewhere?   Sorry for my ignorance - but I have had little to none introduction to Ondemand ...

hi again

I have found the description of the tables - and when I look into ARSAGFLD, it doesn't contain the field that I wish to add to the application group ....  but I'm still interest of knowning what you mean when you write: ' Can you do a 'Describe table' on the AG's last table to see if the field actually exists for some reason'
