Page Count
« on: November 16, 2010, 12:47:10 PM »
Hi all,

I'm uaing "Page Count" field for my ACIF (ASCII Text file), and it works fine.  Now, I'm trying to use this feature on Generic indexer using same Application Group, but it doesn't work.  The system just put "0" for my page_count field unless I enter page count information manually into IND file.  Is there a way to populate page_count filed using Generic Indexer?

Thank you.
J.

You have to use ACIF to get page counts, unless the process that's generating the data can also provide it to your generic index file.

I had the same experience with the generic indexer. It won't populate the page count for you.
