Is there a way to configure CICS client to use a non-zero port without entering ARS1 ipaddress:port?

z/OS Server / OD77 vs OD77HW

We have all apps defined with OD77 compression for CMOd of z/OS. Can OD77 HW be used for z13? What are the hardware requirements for OD77HW? Would that offer performance benefits.

z/OS Server / OnDemand V9.5 arsload requires read acceess to CSFRNG and CSFIQA profiles

I couldn't find this requirement documented anywhere, but when we upgraded OnDemand on z/OS fro V9 to V9.5
the AFP load jobs started getting this violations:
ICH408I USER(.......
CSFRNG CL(CSFSERV )
INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY
ACCESS INTENT(READ ) ACCESS ALLOWED(NONE )

CSFIQA CL(CSFSERV )
INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY
ACCESS INTENT(READ ) ACCESS ALLOWED(NONE )
Has someone else run into this?
We disabled SAF authorization checking for the CSFRNG services as recommended in
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSLTBW_2.3.0/com.ibm.zos.v2r3.csfb300/ctlserv.htm
but it appears we will have to grant read access for CSFIQA profile to all userids that load AFP reports,

z/OS Server / Is OnDemand V9.0 and V9.5 for z/OS compatible with ACIF 4.6 HQN4460?

Ed, Is OnDemand V9.0 and V9.5 for z/OS compatible with ACIF 4.6 HQN4460 that is shipped with newer version of PSF?
Or should we still use HQN4450 instead?

Hello,
I know OnDemand V9 is no longer supported but I still would like to know is its' compatible with z/OS 2.3 considering all the OAM changes in in z/OS 2.3.
Does anyone know or tested this?

Content Navigator / CIWEB1008 Repository not available in ICN

Has anyone run into the issue with CIWEB1008 Repository not available when creating a new repository?
This is the error in the log:
com.ibm.ecm.struts.actions.od.ODLogonAction.createODConnection()
java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: com/ibm/edms/od/ODConfig.MAX_TRACELOG_SIZE
ICN is 2.0.3, ODWEK on AIX V9.0, CMOD server on z/OS V9.0.
Is there anything else needs to be done to configure ODWEK for ICN after the install besides adding LIBPATH and CLASSPATH?

z/OS Server / ARS0131E DCB9003 NO LOGICAL PLACE TO RETRIEVE OBJECT

Has anyone seen the following errors: ARS0131E DCB9003 NO LOGICAL PLACE TO RETRIEVE OBJECT?
We are running V8.4.0 and we don't use cache (all Application Groups are defined as Cache Data No). The AG definitions were generated for us by IBM services for migration from V2. We have maximum number of OAM threads defined in ars.cfg: ARS_NUM_OAMSRVR=30.

z/OS Server / OnDemand V2 and GUI Connection cannot be established for the server

Hello,
We still use V2 and decided to eliminate weekly IPLs. On week three OnDemand GUI users have started receiving intermitent 'Connection Could not be established to the server'
I can't open a problem to IBM since V2 is off support even though we are still paying for it.
the OnDemand IODLDFLT defaults have max clients and max sockets set to 300. The EZACICD macro has 100 of NUMSOCK specified.
The last stats message in MSGUSR was: OD390 Max Concurrent Users LoggedOn=128 Active=110.
I am suspecting that 'in memory' replica of the IODSRVR TS Queue may have something to do with it.
Omegamon was showing a warning: TDQU Dest: ODCU queue length is 83.
We ended up recycling CICS and it cleared up the problem.
Does anyone remember any limitations of that sort in V2 or had similar issues in the past?

z/OS Server / Upgrade from 8.4.0

Does anyone know if we can migrate from 8.4.0 of OnDemand for z/OS directly to 9.5?
Can't find any mention of migration path in 9.5 documentation.
