Windows Client / MAPI Error

Hi All,

Experiencing the following error while mailing from OD client.  (FILE/SEND)

MAPI_E_LOGIN_FAILURE

User is using Outlook 2013 / Windows 8.1
OD client version is: 9.5.0.1

Is there some kind of setting?

Windows Client / AFP Document showing Dollar sign instead of Pound sign

Hi All,

We are , amongst other formats (e.g. PDF) , archiving AFP documents to OnDemand. The AFP document before it is sent to ondemand contains a (currency) pounds sign. But when we retrieve the document from within the ondemand client , the document on the screen shows a dollar sign.

We use Ondemand Client 9.5.0.4. I also tried version 8.5.0.6 , same issue.

Any thoughts?

MP Server / TSM strange behaviour after upgrade

Hi all,

This weekend i upgraded CMOD 8.4 to 8.5 and TSM version 5.5.7 to version 7.1.1.100

Before the upgrade everytime a document was archived i saw in the TSM activitylog:
ANR0406I Session 3038 started for node ODNODE (DATALOAD) (Tcp/Ip 192.168.1.10(48842).(SESSION:3038951)
DATALOAD is the CMOD user we use for loading documents with arsload.

After the upgrade , i am not seeing the same message in the TSM actlog.

I checked TSM and saw that documents are being archived to ondemand.:

tsm: ARCHIVE>select * from archives where NODE_NAME='ODNODE' and FILESPACE_NAME='/UXB' and LL_NAME='790926JAAA'

     NODE_NAME: ODNODE
FILESPACE_NAME: /UXB

But the strange thing is that this is not being logged in tsm activity log. Is this maybe an known issue with the TSM API?

Anyone any thoughts on this?

MP Server / migrating documents from cache to tsm

Hi all,

next week i am upgrading both cmod and tsm to newer levels. I am upgrading TSM from 5.5.7 to 7.1.1 and this wil take approx. 8-10 hours.
During this TSM upgrade i am also going to upgrade CMOD/DB2. My guess is that this will take approx 3-4 hours. To minimise impact for the business i want to start CMOD again before also TSM is up and running again. So documents will be loaded to ondemand without the tsm server.
This means that documents go only to cache and not to cache/tsm.

Is there a way to synchronise cache with tsm after tsm is up and running again? Can i do this with arsadmin load? Anyone any thoughts?

Report Indexing / Spoolfile content partly going to different application groups

Hello All,

I have a request from the business regarding loading a spoolfile into ondemand.

These spoolfiles contains information about invoices. All invoices have different branchcodes. Depending on the branchcode they want it to load into different application groups. So i receive 1 spoolfile with all information contained in that file.
 
But in my opinion they should deliver the spoolfiles already preselected with the branch code (so several spoolfiles) . I think that ondemand should only be used for archiving the original spoolfiles directly into ondemand, without examining the spoolfiles for selection to different applications.

Any thoughts or experience on this?

Report Indexing / Invalid generic index file format

Hi all

I have an application which uses generic index. This index we build ourselves. Went ok for several years.
After upgrade to version 8.5.0.6 we get the following error with arsload :

Invalid generic index file format: >FIELD NAMES BEGIN:<

So it seems it cannot handle the FIELD NAMES BEGIN: statement which is in the index file.

Is this changed in 8.5.0.6 and higher?

Is it possible to upgrade cmod client 7.1 (i know , way too old .....) to version 9.5.0.1 directly instead of going first to 9.5.0.0?

Hi All

I want to add an field to an existing AG. This AG has already a lot of documents. What would be the best way to add the Field.
Update the existing AG or make a copy of the AG definition and update the field in that copy? What about the corresponding Application.? Any thoughts and experience?

Windows Client / cmod client upgrade

Hi All,

We are planning to package cmod client version 9.5 to be rolled out to 1000 PC's.
Does anyone use the cmod client with windows terminal server or something like this so we do not have to update 1000 pc's?

MP Server / arsdoc update question

Hi All

I have within 1 folder 2 application groups named : D111 and D111.13072013
Sometimes we have to update an field in D111 and sometimes in D111.13072013.

Is it possible to have 1 arsdoc update statement which can update 2 application groups within the same folder or do i have to make 2 seperate arsdoc update statements?

Report Indexing / empty field in PDF form

Hi all,

I have PDF forms which are archived to cmod. In these pdf's there are 2 fields: order date and amendment date.
Sometimes it happens that there is no date with amendment date, so empty. Is it possible in this case to index the order date as the amenddate also?

Windows Client / viewing multiple documents

Hi All

When i select in my document list multiple documents i want to view those documents in 1 file.
Documents are of the type AFP.

Does anyone have an answer? I am not able to do this in the client (8.5.0.6)

Windows Client / problem with LOGO after upgrade CMOD client

Hi all

after upgrading to cmod client version 8.5.0.6 we noticed that several AFP documents with company logo in it , were not correctly showing the logo anymore (at another location in the document). Does someone have ran into the same problem?
