Ok thx.

Changed the application from userdefined into tiff, and now it is using the embedded viewer.
Thx once again.

thx for the info!

Application is defined as user defined with file type TIFF so will be using the mimetype'd application, in my case microsoft office document imaging viewer

So the only way to get the embedded viewer is to have the application defined as TIFF?

regards,

Michel.

Hi All

After upgrading to cmod client version 8.5.0.1 , retrieving tiff files opens the microsoft office document imaging viewer instead of the ondemand embedded tiff viewer. My endusers like the embedded viewer, so how can i change this back?

Thx

Kind regards,

Michel.

MP Server / moving TSM server content to another existing TSM Server
« on: April 03, 2013, 10:47:18 PM »
Hi All,

At the moment i am using a dedicated TSM server voor CMOD archiving. TSM Server version is 5.4
Plan is to move all content of this TSM server to an existing TSM server which we are using for normal backup/restore.
This existing TSM server is al TSM server level 6.2.5.0

I am looking for best practices or experiences in doing this. Is it wise? Or should i leave the TSM server for CMOD a dedicated one?

Thanks for your replies.

Kind regards,

Michel.

Hi Paul,

you are right. Ran into the same problem while upgrade to 8.5.0.6. Installed the pdf fileset and now its working without any problems.

Hi Alessandro

thx for your answer.

just to be sure after reading your comments

i have 1 lpar running db2 and arssockd (so a library server, which also holds the cache filesystem)
I have 1 lpar running TSM (so a object storage server)

Nowhere i have a arsobj daemon running

so i should be able to put the db2 and tsm on one lpar.

Thx.

Kind regards,

Michel.

MP Server / Re: Recommendation: DO NOT upgrade to 8.5

Thx Justin for this warning.

I just upgraded our dev environment to 8.5.0.6. And i am testing this.

Currently we are running 8.4.0.3 with db2 9.1 on our production environment.
Do you know if this setup is still supported and if so, until when?

Thx.

Michel.

Russell,

Are you able to login to your tsm with an admin account? Probably the node needs to have the password reset or something like that. What happens if you enter the node name ?

start db2
connect to < cmod instance >
select * from arsnode
this will give you information of the user which is able to login with dsmc to the tsm server

@JD, library server and object server were on 2 different lpars. What is your opinion and experience about putting the library (db2)and object (tsm) server on the same lpar?
