Title: Email feature
Post by: DDP021 on February 12, 2018, 03:55:27 AM
Does anyone know how to enable the email feature in Content Navigator?...When we attempted to email a txt document as an attachment, when opening up the document the data is garbage...FYI- It automatically save the attachment in the email as a .txt.......Also, we can successfully email an AFP document which opens as a PDF in content navigator...Issue appears just with application/line documents...

If it's line data from a mainframe, it's might be EBCDIC -- which needs to be converted before viewing on almost anything else.

Justin,  it is data coming from the mainframe..I know with AFP files, CMOD uses the AFP2PDF feature to view and as we've tested, that type of file will email successfully as its saved as a .pdf when emailing...Is there anyway to enable/convert a document stored as line/application data to allow it to be emailed?...We had this brought up be a user...Appreciate any help as always!..take care...Dave

Have you tried Line2PDF transform? Starting in version 9.5 we include a Line2PDF transform. I believe once you configure it, users are provided an option for sending as PDF.
