Title: Viewing Partial Documents in CMOD
Post by: rstockton on June 03, 2014, 09:03:40 AM
We have a new customer that will be loading some fairly large documents and they want to know when the documents are being retrieved, can they view the partial doccumemt as it being downloaded from CMOD.  Some of their users will be retrieveing documents through VPN and this process can be slow with large documents.

Does anyone know if this can be done?

Thanks,

Russell

Yes,  What you are asking for is documented under "Large Object Support"

I reveiwed the Large Object documentation and it does not appear that it will work for us.  It looks like the Indexer has to be ACIF or OS/400, we use GENERIC indexing on our documetns.

"To generate large objects, the Indexer that is specified on the Indexing Information page must be ACIF or OS/400".
