Title: ARSDOC Parameters / ARS.INI Questions
Post by: stephen.arnott on May 13, 2013, 02:59:42 AM
Hi All
Relatively newbie question.

Can arsdoc - be run remotely?
i.e. If I have OD installed on Server A and Server B - can I call arsdoc on Server A (supplying alias / host / port details in the ARS.INI file or directly on the command line) and execute GET / ADD commands on Server B.

If this can be done - are there any issues / draw backs to this?

If this cannot be done - can someone provide any advice on how best to restrict ARSDOC to limit what the user can / cannot do locally?

Sorry for broad question

Kind regards
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Yes, arsdoc command can be accessed remotely providing the host details in the command line.

As far I know there are no issues or drawback on this usage except the retrival will depend on the network.

User restisction for arsdoc depends on the access provided in application/AG/Folder.
