Hi,
Can anyone point me to a short description of CMOD vs Content Manager
Maybe a white paper of some type or side-by-side list
Reason for asking, just getting an idea of someone like me whom supports CMOD
Can also support Content Manager another customer in my company has Content Manager and asking if I possibly support it
Does it have the same Administration / AppGroups / Applications / arsload / Integration api / etc ........
Thanks

I haven't seen a CMv8 install for over a decade, but the major differences I remember are:
- Workflow - the ability to create a record, and push a document through a variety of stages or processes / inboxes for action
- Resource Managers - a little like Object servers, but they support replication of documents across servers for redundancy
- Built almost entirely in DB2 - the last time I worked on CM (v8.4?) there were practically no application components, just functions built on top of DB2
- Less scalability - CMOD can happily ingest millions of documents per day, and de-duplicate/compress them for massive storage savings. CMv8 had less capacity on similar hardware.
I'm sure there are folks with more in-depth (and more current) knowledge.
Consider downloading the documentation and see if your employer has access to CMv8 for you to install/configure on a VM.

Thanks for the quick reply and this alone does help some to get me going and thinking more
Anyone else replying would be appreciated also :)
Yes, I still need to find the Documentation and any System Design they might have
Thanks
