MP Server / Doument expired in TSM not in CMOD
« on: July 08, 2015, 11:33:08 PM »
We have AG with 1 year retention policy in Ondemand and the same in TSM for those documents. But in AG, expiry type is set as Segment instead of load. Segment table max row is 10 million. Documents which reaches 1 year retention expired from TSM but not in Ondemand since the expiry type is segment as we only have less than 4 million rows in segment so far. Now users are trying to retrieve the documents older 1 year and getting error since its expired from TSM.

Now I am planning to unload all the loads for those , documents were expired from TSM by writing script. Is there any easy way to disable the expired documents from hitlist? Please advise.

Hi Egon

Yes. If you run arsdoc delete it only removes the index not the file.

Regd your point 2, Your are saying that all the indexes pointing to the whole complete file (Offset :0 and length : size of the file). If you run arsload with indexer alone option (-i), indexes will be generated with each rows pointing specific segment. Please let me know the option how to load the without divided.

Thanks

Yes. You can delete a single record from the load  using arsdoc delete with the -i option having the where clause for the specific documents.

MP Server / CMOD, TSM & DB2 upgrade in same server
« on: June 29, 2015, 07:50:49 AM »
We are planning to upgrade our CMOD environment to below levels.

CMOD 8.4.0.3 -> 9.0.x.x
TSM    5.5.3    -> 6.3/6.4
DB2     9.5       -> 9.7

Currently we are running in single server AIX P6 with OS 6.1. Since the new TSM has more memory requirement we are planning to increase the memory from 8 G to 16 /32 G and do upgrade all the components in same server.

Has anyone already having setup like this having CMOD and TSM databases running in same AIX server.
Also in that case, whether both TSM and CMOD databases share same Db2 installation or we need to have two separate DB2 installations in the same server. Please advice.
