MP Server / Re: Embedded fonts in AFP-filer to CMOD
« on: May 10, 2019, 01:10:55 AM »
So I have
Hej Anne!  :)

Two things...

In ACIF indexing parameters, RESTYPE=ALL to ensure the new fonts get put into the resource bundle.

In the Application configuration, set Resource Compares to the maximum, 9999.

These two items will prevent some of the problems that we experienced during your last migration.

-JD.

I have changed the restype to RESTYPE=ALL, but where do I set the Resource Compares ?

MP Server / Embedded fonts in AFP-filer to CMOD
« on: May 09, 2019, 02:35:29 AM »
Hi

My customer wants to add embedded fonts, and wants to know which is the easiest (and fastest way) to do it :
1. add the embedded font in side the afp file
2. add the New font as a Resource in CMOD

I thought that the fastes way was to add the font into reslib .. but my supplier removed my root Access so I Guess the fastes way would be to add the font inside the afp file

Or ?

I added the font in the reslib, but what do I do to make sure that this New font will be added/taken in use

The field name 'üúû' found in the index file does not match any expected fields.  The field will be ignored.
The field name 'ÖüòòÆüóóà' found in the index file does not match any expected fields.  The field will be ignored.
The field name 'ÆàòÖ' found in the index file does not match any expected fields.  The field will be ignored.

Report Indexing / Index ASCII files from linux
« on: April 05, 2016, 11:17:14 PM »
I have a ascii file from Linux that I would like to load into the system, but I am not sure how to set up the Application. I have tried to use the grafic indexer to get the trigger and the indexes I need, but it seems to convert the text into a unreadable file
I have Attached the input file, the error file and the Application definitions.
I really hope to get some help on how the "indexer information" should look like.
I usually have data from os/390 (afp/ebcdic)

Other / Re: XML files
« on: November 20, 2012, 11:46:00 PM »
We have a customer that wants to save some documents as xml,
and view it in IE. I have used "User defined" and XML + Generic  in the application , and it looks like the documents are beeing stored, but when I try to view the documents in IE and
have IE up and running, the viewing of the document failed. When closing IE it will start, but it will not open the document. Any good ideas ?
Kind regards from Anne in Norway  :-)

After changing -> Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default
Programs\Set Associations\xml to open with IE it works. This is not the way to do it clearly ... and we need an extention that we can redirect to IE instead of XML, but it solved our problem with OD and viewing XML
files in the windows client :-)
