Title: odwek 9.5
Post by: rgator on August 01, 2017, 08:33:29 AM
We run ondemand 9.5 multiplatforms on aix servers.   We have a Linux and a windows application that needs the odwek client code (libs/jars)
What is the proper method to download just the odwek software in 9.5?   Do I have to download/install the server piece for windows and Linux
just to get the odwek client?  Seems like there should be a better way.  Any license concerns downloading/installing those just to get the odewk libs/jars?
thanks

Download and install the binaries from Passport Advantage / Partnerworld. Don't run any of the configuration steps / Configurator on windows.

I believe its /opt/IBM/ondemand/V9.0/odwek/jars and theres your jar file that you need. ODWEK is no longer a separate install in 9.5 +

IBM does not recommend that you copy the jar in your applications, especially to get support with a PMR.
Normally you need to install ODWEK (in the case of V9.5+ the full CMOD installation package), and in your application reference the ODWEK Jar and the native library (java.library.path)

Basically in AIX the jars are in /opt/IBM/ondemand/V9.5/www/api/ODApi.jar and the java.library.path for the native libraries are in /opt/IBM/ondemand/V9.5/www.

It would be beneficial to get a procedure from IBM for installing OD/WEK V 9.5 only.  Especially for installations where multiple Linux clients are accessing documents from z/OS server.

Does this help?  It mentions 9.5.
