Title: Migration to DB1 V11 and CMoD 9.5.0
Post by: LizetteKoehler on February 19, 2018, 04:35:14 PM
We are on CMoD V9.5.0 and DB2 V10.  We are planning to upgrade to DB2 V11.

Will CMoD V9.5.0 run with DB2 V11? Or do we need to upgrade CMoD to V10 when we go to DB2 V11?

I understand there will be additional requires like z/OS and COBOL if we have to upgrade CMoD to V10.

Thank you

Lizette

I'd say that the majority of the z world is on CMOD V9.5 and DB2 V11, so you're approaching well-plumbed waters.

1. make sure you're current on CMOD service (typical Level 2 recommendation)

2. I keep a running list of DB2 problems exposed by CMOD.  Make sure  you have the following installed to prevent wheel re-invention:

Recommended DB2 on z/OS Service, V10 and V11

An issue encountered by someone else when upgrading their DB2 to V11:
