Title: Moving CACHE Files for CMOD to new Storage Array
Post by: LizetteKoehler on March 18, 2018, 08:56:47 PM
I am looking to see if anyone has moved CACHE files with either TDMF or DFDSS.  If so, any requirements to do so?  Does CMOD need to be down with either?

We are required to move to a new storage array and I want to ensure nothing breaks with CMOD/CACHE

Just to add this to the historical record,

we successfully moved the CMoD zFS Cache files from one storage array to another with TDMF

The process used was to shutdown all the CMoD tasks (ARSSOCK, ARSLOAD, ARSODF) on all systems.

then UnMount the zFS files.

Moved the volumes

then Mounted the files

then brought back up the CMoD tasks.

The size of our files at the time

150GB
600GB
200GB
300GB
50GB
50Gb
50GB

So lots of data to move.  We are in the process of moving from CACHE to OAM - but not quiet there yet.
