Is it possible to arrange the fields in a folder, if you are just a user?  It is grayed out when selecting it in View

Is there a link to 10.5 installation for z/OS?  I recall 10.1 having jobs to run that setup the SMPE zones and DDDEF.  When doing shopz and trying to run the job it is failing on GIM54501S ** ALLOCATION FAILED FOR SMPLOG BECAUSE THERE IS NO DD STATEMENT IN THE JCL AND NO DDDEF ENTRY IN THE GLOBAL
             ZONE.

Does anyone have a job they can share that deletes out the files in a /tmp directory in USS?   I found my /tmp directory had 5900 files in it.

Thank you very much.  I am not too familiar with SQL, and many customers are asking about AAR, so this is helpful.

z/OS Server / SQL for reports
« on: December 02, 2020, 12:48:07 PM »
Does anyone have SQL they can share for Annual Access Reviews?   SQL showing users access to what reports and groups....or who has access to a group....We'd like to create a report so everyone can see it.   I know the summarize way for admins, but we are trying to create reports that will load into CMOD and can be viewed by all.

Currently, there are parts plants that use the sysouts for reporting (part #'s ...totals....)   The issues I mentioned pertain to labels.   There is also a concern about training, loading and setting up the client.....  They are asking for ARSYSPIN to run from 1am - 4am.

Thank you for your reply.  I am just curious if this happens at other shops, since all our other systems keep ARSYSPIN running, unless we are doing maintenance.  We are migrating to CMOD from Mobius, and currently the one system runs a Mobius sweep job at 5:30 and 19:30 to pick up sysouts.  They want the same type of loading using CMOD.

We have a customer that only wants ARSYSPIN to run at certain times of the day, due to them advising they need their sysouts in case they have a printer jam on their labels.  Does anyone only run ARSYSPIN at certain times of the day?   We are trying to accommodate the customer, without causing issues with CMOD.   Thanks.

z/OS Server / Re: Can you place multiple classes into ARSLOAD?
« on: October 06, 2020, 06:08:13 AM »
As Ed would say...."It's easy to google!"

-C class
Specifies the JES SYSOUT class or classes that the ARSLOAD program monitors for input data to process when running as a started task. You can specify up to 36 classes. The classes should be specified as a string of characters. For example: -C A or -C
ACDFLPQ.

Can you specify ARSLOAD to look for multiple classes?   If so, is it -C X  -C Y?

Sorry for the confusion.   We want to upgrade the 9.5 to 10.1, but go from servers to fat client.   Basically get rid of the servers and upgrade to the latest version.

On our China system we have 9.5 running, using servers.. not the fat client.  We need to upgrade to 10.1.

On our North American system, we have both 9.5 and 10.1.  The 9.5 was used for the China project, and uses servers.  The 10.1 is for a Mobius to CMOD conversion and will use the fat client.

Please advise what is the best way to get everything on 10.1 using the fat client.

I appreciate you time and help!

We worked with IBM/Helix, and Helix has a MARSSPLX task that sends the report to CMOD and requeues it back to JES where it gets sent to EOS.
