MP Server / Spectrum Protect(TSM) expired certificate problem with database backups

Hi. certicate expired at spectrum protect (TSM) server, renewed it with this guide:

After that clients were able to connect to Spectrum, but Spectrum protects database (db2) backups failed.

errors:
tsmbgr log: ANS1579E GSKit function gsk_secure_soc_init failed with 406: GSK_ERROR_IO
activity log: ANR8599W The connection with S00030.tapiodmz01.fi:62300 failed due to an untrusted server certificate

so no connection in activity log with user:NODE:$$_TSMDBMGR_$$, which starts database backup

renewed also splicert files from Nodes\$$_TSMDBMGR_$$ folder

Have not found out what actual cert is backup using

MP Server / Arsmaint TSM Error

Hello

During arsmaint process i got error message "TSM ERROR: ANS0266I (RC2302) The dsmEndTxn vote is ABORT, so check the reason field., Return Code=2302, Reason=1"
Tried to find from google reason=1 but no success.
Windows based ondemand 10.5, tsm 8.13, retrievals are ok from nodes, but loading gives error.
Activity log, nothing on tsm-side, so guess error is during connection to tsm...

Other / Tsm/Spectrum protect filenames

Hi, have a little problem with files archived to spectrum protect. Cant find any way to list files from filespace. Does spectrum convert filenames to some encoded format or what.
Database is showing the filespace and the filename, but canr acces to that anyway. Not via backup archive command line or via backup archive gui. By the way is the backup archive gui supposed to work that way like file explorer if i connect to spesific node, it only shows local drives, not long term archive(centera), or actually it shows that, but doesnt do anything if i open the tree view.

MP Server / downgrade from 10.5 to 10.1 win-ondemand

Hello, ibm manual says:
"To downgrade to a previous version, you must uninstall the Content Manager OnDemand server software, re-install, and upgrade back to your previous version."
Done that from 10.5 to 10.1, but after that 10.1 configurator says that cant access because newer version found.
I left cinfigurator settings and instances during uninstall, might that be the case?

OD/WEK & JAVA API / How install odwek v10.x only to linux?

In previous version v9 there was separate binary and OdWek v9 was installed with command
odweklinux.bin -i console

Now v10.x says:
"The ODWEK executables, libraries, jars, applets, and plugins are now packaged with OnDemand Server installations."

If I start installation with command
odlinux.bin -i console

is there option to install OdWek only?

Actual OD server is on Windows platform...

Other / tsm connection to on-premises cloud cloud type s3 problem

Hi, has anyone tried connection between tsm and on-premise cloud, we have windows tsm-server environment with version 8.1.8, and we are getting this error
jvm.c:1679) com.tivoli.dsm.cloud.api.ProviderS3 handleException com.amazonaws.SdkClientException Unable to execute HTTP request: Received fatal alert: handshake_failure
we are enable to connect to the storage by browser, so user and password are correct.
Installed alsio needed certificates.

MP Server / Arsdoc get bringing separate metafiles

Hi, has anyone tried to import documents with arsdoc get so that there is separate metafile for each document.
Or is it so that -c parameter have to be connected to query when -g is presented

"For the GET function, use to generate Generic indexer data for the items that match the query.
See the IBM Content Manager OnDemand Indexing Reference for details about the Generic indexer."

This is bad when there is a need to rearchive generic index data material again.

MP Server / arsload only by document name

Hi !
Has anyone experience of loading files to od only with document name.
I know the parameters -B and -b, but how can I use them in practice.
I need also index from the name, say it is customernro.
Do I have to know the file names before load, and is the application type generic, or something else.
The files are scanned pdf:s, and pdf indexer cant get into them, and I would not like to start generating metadata files for loading.

MP Server / Ondemand 9.0.0.2 win and SQL Server 2012 ODBC-issue

Hello again, has anyone tried Ondemand 9.0.0.2 windows and SQL Server 2012, i thought it should work...
For some reason allthough while making new instance arsdb expects to find 2010 odbc-driver.
Registry confirms this bacause Odbc.ini folder is empty. It should contain odbc information and location of dll.
Of course it is possible to load 2010 odbc driver to 2012, but it sounds weird. Does not help if i make odbc connection to instance with 2012 driver. Then it comes to odbc.ini but arsdb fails anyway.
Can the 2010 odbc-dll be hardcoded to 9.0.0.2...
Might be that i am missing something, or i need a holiday, anyway i have installed about dozen times 9.0.0.2 winserver and sqlserver 2008R2 without problems.

MP Server / Problem during update v.8.4.0.3 to 9.0.0.1

Hello again  , big post coming...

We are updating our windows based environment 8.4.0.3 to new version 9.0.0.1
Everything has went about fine so far in our smaller test environment, but after we made copy of our production environment, which contains in cache drives about 30 million documents came a weard problem with Sql, or with the difference how folders in od retrieve/produce sql statements.
Here is the problem.
In our Sql database we have few tables which contain more rows than 10.000.000 raws ,so od automatically renames the new tables that exceed 10 million with sequence number, for example ondemand.HAA1 and Ondemand.HAA2.
Now in old od (8.4) , when we retrieved documents with our odinterface(not od:s own client) the query looked like this
We used Od:s certain folder where we made above limits

so it retrieved from two tables, but now in version 9.0.0.1 after all the updatesteps the same retrieval looks like

and this sql gives
error Msg 4104, Level 16, State 1, Line 23
The multi-part identifier "ODTBL.ARCHIVE_DATE " could not be bound.

First i thought that this was because in version 9 dates are handled differentially( converts old date to new format) but maybe this is just how sql version 2008 r2 operates, in our older environment we had sql server 2005, but actually we are running this new in compatibility mode 2005.

Is there a way to remove correlation names from the query, i mean in sql server, we have to use od:s folder anyway, in the folder configurations there is not nothing much to do.

Windows Client / Pdf-reader for Ondemand

Hello everyone !

Is it really so that Ondemand client (version 9.0) needs adobe standard for pdf reading.
According to this http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21046703
it truly does.
I tried it quickly with new adobe reader and it does not work
Or does anyone know other pdf readers which are free and opperate with od better.

MP Server / arsstash problem Od 9.0

Hello !
Starting to use arsstash with arsloads for hiding username and password.
Od 9.0 in windows platform.
Arsload works fine with arstash parameter -p , when loading happens from the directory where arsload.exe is.
( C:\Program Files\IBM\OnDemand for Windows\V9.0\bin), but if i try to load from somewhere else it cant find the stash file.
Arsload without arsstah works wherever, so its in environment variables. I have created path to arsstash too but does not seem to work.
If i put arsstash to command prompt it seems to recognize it too wherever i am.

MP Server / Upgrade from 8.4.0.3 to version9.0 under windows-platform

Hello !

We have Ondemand for Windows 8.4.0.3 and Sql Server 2005 combination with TSM-Server 5.5.1.
Indexes are on Sql-Server and we have 4 Cache drives for documents.

Now we need a whole new environment for version 9.0 and Sql Server 2008 R2.

What is the right way to do this new environment.

Okey, we can copy the database and get the same amount of cachedrives to new environment.
But how can we move application Groups, Folders, etc. As you might know Admin client 8.4.0.3 is not compatible with version 9.0.

And an other weard thing, when you select a document from a folder, what does the link contain, i mean where is the information of the location and etc. I know its somewhere in database but even with Sql Profiler you cant get anything reasonable.
