General / CMOD vs Content Manager
« on: January 24, 2024, 11:52:40 AM »
Hi,

Can anyone point me to a short description of CMOD vs Content Manager

Maybe a white paper of some type or side-by-side list

Reason for asking, just getting an idea of someone like me whom supports CMOD
Can also support Content Manager another customer in my company has Content Manager and asking if I possibly support it

Does it have the same Administration / AppGroups / Applications / arsload / Integration api / etc ........

Thanks

MP Server / MP Oracle Client need Oracle Wallet
« on: October 23, 2023, 04:58:25 AM »
Hi,

We use CMOD 10.5 and Content Navigator if it make a difference
     With ORACLE as the Database

Setting up a new 2022 Windows Server

Database is on a separate server ( LINUX actually )

Question: My DBA will be installing the 19c Client on my repository server and asking if it needs Oracle Wallet ?

I have never done anything that I no of with Oracle Wallet before, so assuming it is not required .. Not even sure exactly what wallet does
However learned never to assume :) ... Or not sure if CMOD does any type of wallet stuff in the installation

Thanks
John

MP Server / Content Integrator 8.6 to CMOD 9.5 with MS SQL Server
« on: August 22, 2023, 06:19:53 AM »
Does anyone know if Content Integrator works with MS SQL Server or guide me to any documentation if special configuration is needed

We are setting up new WEB Server Window 2019
     WebSphere 9.0.5.7
     Content Integrator 8.6.0.4

CMOD Server is Windows 2012 ( upgrade planned )
     CMOD 9.5
     Connecting Database MS SQL 2012

We installed WebSphere / CI just fine ... Even tested connection via the admin.bat and all is good

However when trying any API retrieval attempts always receiving NO RECORDS FOUND even though it is more than double checked data is there

So mainly trying to find out if CI is even possible with MS SQL Server ... In Development so we can possible go through CMOD upgrades

If not what other suggestion for Custom Web Application to use the API ( SOAP or REST )

Thanks
John

Hi,

User receiving Error:
CIWEB1016: Your request cannot be processed
An error occured on the application serve

CMOD 10.1
Navigator 3.0.7

TIFF images configured for default:   Daeja ViewerONE Virtual

We are loading Multipage TIFF images in which 95% is probably 1-10 pages

There are a few 30+ page even more like 150+
These are the one's receiving the error

Some of those are small in size like ( too me ) around 1000-2000 KB

So seems to be a page count issue rather than size ( but asking hear because I can't find it )

Image cannot be download by user either ( receives same error )

Thick client works fine
Also when I download from thick client and view with Windows viewer it's fine

Other / ARSMAIN ERROR Help !
« on: June 02, 2021, 09:04:46 AM »
Does anyone recognize Error '129' with ARSMAINT I can't seem to find it when googling or any manuals.

Our Cache filesystem is at 2 GB our of 997 GB so kinda getting critical ( or very full )

I am trying to Expire Cache data ... It is already on TSM ( Spectrum Protect ) storage so not sure if migration is actually needed

This is the command I am using ( attempting by AppGroups )

D:\CMODSRVR\IBM\OnDemand\V10.1\bin\arsmaint.exe -u uuuu -p pppp -I MMMMM -g agGGGGG -cmsv

Output in System Log .. Also Error '129' shows up in Event Logs, but nothing different

MP Server / ARSDOC GET - Annotations Only Possible
« on: April 28, 2021, 08:07:43 AM »
Is it possible to get Annotations only from OnDemand, or maybe suggest options

I'm doing the arsdoc get with the -A, along with -g and other options to get the indexes
This all works fine getting me the Notes and Reports with indexes as needed

We are migrating from one system to another and customer wants notes to follow ( so far so good )
So doing the GET and loading into another system

Issue then is  ( and may be rare occasions )
Example:  If I pull everything from year 2020 ( and new system is not up and running yet, still in migration mode )
Week or so later a user may Add a Note to a report from 2020

How can I run a check / and pull just notes from 2020

If possible to just pull Notes and indexes without having to pull reports, I can wait and do notes last since they are
minor amount compared to the reports

Thanks in advance

MP Server / Maually read from Cache Storage possible
« on: January 04, 2021, 08:53:00 AM »
Hi,

We completed a migration for an older CMOD Product with TSM to upgraded servers and versions ( also went from LINUX to Window ), migrated 5 years of data by using CMOD Export and re-loading.

Question now:
For customer requirements we need to save the data over 5+ year old now
However we don't just want to hang on to the old LINUX/CMOD/TSM systems and boot up if ever needed

Is there a way to read files from Cache Storage manually
Thinking just saving off the Cache Storage somewhere and if ever needed we can work on manually searching
    or reloading somehow

Or of course any other suggestion to just save the data for later access if unlikely chance if needed

Content Navigator / Windows 10 Issues with Java and Content Navigator
« on: November 06, 2019, 03:24:52 PM »
Hi,

Another appears to be JAVA related and maybe nothing with Content Navigator or OnDemand

We have users upgrading to Windows 10 with pre-loaded IE 11
This worked prior to there upgrade

They are then not able to View Line Data reports utilizing the ODLineDataViewer2.jar

Just comes up with Blank Viewer screen and sits there

I believe the jar file is not loading or running or something  :(

I gone through everything obvious with IE settings, Java Settings, etc ....

Anyone else run across this ?

Content Navigator / Is JAVA JRE Needed ?
« on: September 10, 2019, 08:51:01 AM »
Hi,

Hopefully quick question and probably just me, but hard to find exactly what is needed.
Don't need detail just simple yes/no or something

Is JAVA JRE needed on the WEB Server with Content Navigator and Content Integrator
Or is it just the SDK ... Appears install comes with JRE but assuming just for installation maybe ?

Then is the Java JRE needed on the User ( or Client ) PC ?
Or is that then depending on viewers configured for Navigator

Thanks

MP Server / Storage Node File Location
« on: August 20, 2019, 07:34:48 PM »
For some reason I can't find the Location for a Storage Node in use .. Users are having issue access older files and this was setup before my time.

The LibSrv is setup a Cache Only

However the old Storage Node appears to be setup with TSM
And TSM Client or nothing is setup on the Server

What am I missing here ... I attached a jpg screen shot of the Storage Node setup

How do I tell where the files are stored

MP Server / Spectrum Protect - Tivoli with CMOD Storage Question
« on: June 05, 2019, 04:58:25 AM »
Hi,

Not sure where to post this or
if there is a separate Spectrum Protect User Group somewhere let me know

Hopefully a simple question though just hard for me to research.

I setup a DEVCLASS with multiple DIRECTORIES on 2 different Drives  ( Windows System )
    I shown here:    DEFINE DEVCLASS FDXXXX01 DIR="F:\IMAGES,I:\IMAGES"

The I: Drive was added afterwards with F: Approaching Full
The change worked with Images now going to Both F: and I:

F: is still being used and approaching closer to full or filling up soon

Question:
Is there a threshold setting somewhere or built in that a Drive will stopped being used ?
Or is there another method to stop using the F: Drive

Thought maybe updating the DEVCLASS with just  DIR="I:\IMAGES"
But didn't want to take the chance yet of that rendering the Images in F: unable to access

Thanks in Advance

Other / Suggestion needed to Speed up Retrievals from TSM
« on: April 18, 2019, 04:36:24 AM »
Issue:  Running multiple ARSDOC GET and even if just running one it is averaging 3-6 seconds a document sometimes less
( mix of PDF, TEST. IMAGES )

System:  On LINUX Server older CMOD 8.5 and using Tivoli on the same server

We already upgraded to the latest CMOD Version ( and Tivoli ) and new Storage Hardware
However still going through the Migration of Data  ( 3+ TB and millions of Documents )

Process:   Running ARSDOC GET by AppGroup and Date Ranges ( Depending on Groups Range can be Week or Monthly )
Then process the output ( IND / OUT files ) into the New System

It's all straight forward and working .. Just very slow for the amount of Data we have
Running multiple ARSDOC helps some but then as assumed slows each retrieval

Bottle neck seems to be something with TSM and possible the DB2SYSC using high CPU on the LINUX server

ANY SUGGESTIONS :)
Can TSM be tweaked somehow, maybe using different DB2SYSC processes for each ARSDOC get somehow
** I'm just thinking as typing, maybe it's not db2sysc as the issue

Possibly how can a Whole AppGroup ( and maybe by date range ) be sent to Cache Storage before I do retrievals against it
Or will that really save time sense it's kinda a double get

thanks

Content Navigator / Content Navigator Developing
« on: November 03, 2018, 11:19:18 AM »
Hi,

Where can I get help on costume coding for Content Navigator ?
I tried to find a developerworks forum and doesn't seem to exist anymore

Here is my code in case this place can help .. launch.jsp

Notice where I have the ALERT messages my issue is explained there.
Do I need another dojo.require ? Is my logic placement incorrect ?

Not sure why having an alert would make it work which also depends on the location ?

I am just trying to logon a user and send them to the main Search Panel with Default Desktop

===================================================

<%@ include file="header.jsp" %>

<script>
    dojo.registerModulePath("ecm", "/navigator/ecm");
    dojo.registerModulePath("idx", "/navigator/idx");

    dojo.require("dijit._Templated");
    dojo.require("ecm.model.Desktop");

      ecm.model.desktop.repositoryId = edmsrepositoryId;
        ecm.model.desktop.userId = edmsuserId;

OD/WEK & JAVA API / odserver.login Was: ODWEK java api
« on: September 26, 2018, 06:10:15 PM »
Hi,

Hope you don't mind but hoping I can ask a question in this thread.

Through JAVA API or other method is there a way to Call Content Navigator and go directory
to a Desktop say Search Screen already logged in ?

We use Content Manager OnDemand Repository

I am able to Login to the Repository using odserver.logn

But now how do I call Content Navigator WEB and bypass the Logon Screen
I am using DesktopPane to call Navigator .. However it goes directly to the Logon
   screen and makes me re-login.

Thanks .. If needed I can start another thread
