General / CMOD -HCP Integration
« on: November 14, 2016, 09:59:06 PM »
Does CMOD support the Hitachi HCP if it does what protocol can we use? /Rest, S3/.

we are using CMOD 9.x version. and planning to get rid of TSM by integrating CMOD directly with HCP.

Is it possible. Please provide your comments and suggestions.

Hi Alessandro,

Thanks for your assistance. And Yes.. I am still in the past. Will be moved to CMOD 9.5 hopefully by year end.

I have updated the ars.cfg file.

ARS_TMP=/sbcimp/dyn/data/RAR/OD_App1/temp
ARS_PRINT_PATH=/tmp
ARS_TRACE_SETTINGS=/opt/ondemand/config/checkod.txt

I didn't make any changes to Trace.setttings file.
[TRACE]
COMPONENT_LEVEL=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
#TRACE_FILE=ARCHIVE.trace.log
TRACE_FILE=ARCHIVE.trace.log
TRACE_FORMAT=TEXT
APPEND=0
MAX_LOG_SIZE=0

Also updated the arslog file with the script given by you.

The file permissions look OK to me. However, I could see these errors in TSM.

Is this the cause for this issue??.

I have triggered the Ondemand and I could see a zero byte file created under /opt/ondemand/config/ as per the change in ars.cfg.

I didn't see any file at /tmp/

I have logged in to DB and verified already. I am able to login without any issues and fetch the data using normal queries in TOAD.

Ondemand was working fine a month back and I am not sure what change happened to system.

uname -a

Thanks again,

Hi,

we are using the below arsdoc command to retrieve the documents from OD.

/opt/ondemand/bin/arsdoc query -u admin -p xxxxxx -h xxxxxxxx -f F106B002 -i "where ENTITY_ID = 89010000000" -o /tmp/output_F106B002.txt -v

Other / TSM Purge
« on: December 02, 2014, 01:31:41 AM »
Hi All,

Could you please clarify my below queries.

We are Migrating from TSM 5.4.3 to TSM 7.0. We have defined archive periods as 10 years mostly for all the storage nodes.What will happen to these nodes after the migration/end of life. Can the purging can be stopped at any point?.

CMOD and TSM are designed to work together ? is there any functionality that will purge from TSM and CMOD together?

Please let me know or point me to any reference. Thanks for your help.

Yes.. I tried with large feeds. It is uncommon. some of the files are loading fine and some of the files are throwing this error.

This is Linux x86_64.

Thanks for having a look on this.

Strange that it is not able to write anything in system log too.

Hi All,

I have resolved this issue.. Here is the resolution.

1. when i deleted the application group,the database got refereshed and it was not able to access the database due to wrong password. Five months back i have updated the password for Ondemand database and the old password was referred since we are using only one thread.
2. During the referesh., it was looking for a new thread and the password is wrong since i have not updated the password in config file.
3. Once i have updated the password in cfg file, i was able to start the ondemand without any issues.

Thanks for all your support.

Cheers,
Gobi

May be on that day i was working with CMOD Client.

Today we have more than 50% space still available.
