The forum community here seems very knowledgeable so I thought it would be an excellent place to see if others have encountered this issue and could suggest debugging ideas.
BTW I have opened a PMR with IBM but have yet to receive a timely response.

Concerning, but this happens to me all the time. I usually always open PMR's as SEV2 bug instead of usage. I haven't had any issues except I wasn't really allowed to do that when we were IBM gold partners...or something like that.

This was actually fixed by a patch from IBM -- I'll check the next v9.5 fixpack that was released to see if it's mentioned in the ReadMe file.

you need afp2pdf plus, or there are a bunch of other tools on the market that do this. Theres nothing out of the box that converts.

Not directly CMOD, but as part of our TSM system we are using TSM

If we increase MAXTHREADS on TSM Server to 50, do we have to increase max threads on the DR backup TSM server? I assume yes

Hey Steve,

I had this exact issue a few years back. I remember this being part of a bigger project to migrate from Xenos, to AFP2PDF.

I believe I had to run arsafpd to dump the actual PDF file. Then, verify that our trigger is actually correct based on the output of the file. Give that a shot. If you can post the output of the arafpd command, maybe post and let us take a look?

I think you already identified your issue. You're 10 years behind. Latest Windows/CMOD will probably take care of it.

Is this a production system? It is I am assuming. Does it happen in you lower tiers?

Does anyone have metrics of PDF indexing of extremely large PDF files?
We're talking about files 1-2.4 GB and 800,000 to 1,200,000 pages per file.

Done this before, but it was a process

Infoprint XT to take Xerox metacode and convert to afp -- AFP2PDF -- Massive PDF.   Hours to load

I am curious as why.

I was told once YEARS ago by one of our leads to NOT the system Load for whatever reason. It was pretty much. "Dont use it" "Why" "Dont use it". this was when I had about 5 minutes of CMOD experience.

I searched by the log id, or just by "Error"

We solved it quickly.
