I don't think you can pick your index data using the report wizard menu. It is better to create the AG and Appliation Manually and supply the ACIF indexing information.

The data files should have the index field as TLE in it.

Knock me if u require more explanation.

Hi Lazosa,
I believe all the font files defined in CPDEF.FNT, CSDEF.FNT, ICODED.FNT need to be installed in all the computer to get the proper view

Windows Client / Re: Session Stats
« on: July 03, 2009, 05:51:12 AM »
I believe you can calculate it from the system log table.

Msg No : 30 -> Conveys login action and
Msg No : 32 -> Conveys logoff action

From the time difference between this two we can find how log the session was open

MP Server / Re: Delete large volume of data from OnDemand
« on: December 24, 2008, 11:03:03 AM »
Paula,

Here are the choices...

1. Check if the documents have crossed their expiration period has be crossed then it is a better idea to run ARSMAINT manually, which would delete the data automatically.

2. If you require all the data to be in the application group then it would be better you delete the application group.

3. If you require some of the data to be deleted in the application group, then it is better to collect the load ids of all the loads and run it as a batch script in the host side scripting using arsadmin.

The impact of deleting/unloading could be you can never get back those data :)

Other / Re: Windows Admin Client - Folder/Application Mapping
« on: December 24, 2008, 10:43:18 AM »
Lorelei,
I feel this would be a better way if u are aware with bit of SQL.

There are 3 table which have this information
1. ARSAG - List of application groups available
2. ARSFOL - List of Folders available
3. ARSAG2FOL - List of folder mapping

these 3 tables can be concatenated and the required information can be retrieved.

z/OS Server / Re: arsdate within batch program
« on: November 17, 2008, 07:26:14 AM »
yes it can be done...

if you are using C program, use system function to call it

If you are using dos script, it can be called from the location of arsdate (eg: C:\Program Files\IBM\OnDemand for WinNT\bin\arsdate.exe)

If you are using unix scripting, it can be invoed in /usr/lpp/ars/bin

z/OS Server / Re: How do i re-archive AFP data (ardoc get, unload and load)
« on: November 17, 2008, 07:22:40 AM »
I have tried this and it worked.

Step 1:
Quote
arsdoc get -h 127.0.0.1 -u username -p password -d directory_name -g -a -N -c -v -G AG_Name -i "where applid ='Application_id'" -o output_file_name -x Load-id

Step 2:
Quote
arsadmin load -h 127.0.0.1-u username -p password -d directory_name -g New_AG_Name -a New_App_name -i index_file_name -s data_file_name -r resource_file_name

Step 3:
Quote
arsadmin unload -h 127.0.0.1-u username -p password -g old_AG_name -N -L Load_id

This had loaded the AFP data fine to new server retriving from old server.

General / Re: Question
« on: November 17, 2008, 07:10:45 AM »
Here is a way for it.

In storage node in AG,

1. Select the archival storage node
2. choose the option "Cache data for 730 days"
3. In life of data and indexes choose "Expire in 2555 days"
4. So after 7yrs the data can be archived in anual backup tape .
