z/OS Server / arsload help via UNIX
« on: June 12, 2013, 06:40:01 AM »
We are running CMOD on z-OS and are trying to load a file via UNIX arsload command and getting an error.
We have never loaded via UNIX command prompt before. But we can run the other UNIX command correctly. (unload,?)

/products/ars/dev/bin/arsload ?a ?TEST1? ?g ?AGTEST? ?h ?TESTDB1? ?n ?v ?f  /home/#1510/TH/CNNOTICE.PC7.PSK

arsload: Using /home/#1510/TH for temporary files
arsload: Processing file >CNNOTICE.PC7.PSK<
arsload: Processing failed for file >CNNOTICE.PC7.PSK<
arsload: Unable to log load information
arsload: Processing has stopped.  The remaining files will NOT be processed

Nothing is logged to the System Log and we are using verbose.

« on: May 29, 2013, 06:32:08 AM »
 Hello
I am getting a weird error when I am trying to run ARSTBLSP.
I have successfully run the command in my DEV and VAL environments, but when I try it in INT.
I get the following error.

$ arstblsp -a 3 -g 'AGABC' -I 'PARSDB123'
<> LEAID ENTERED (LEVEL 08/30/2010 AT 12.37)
<> LEAID LEAID112 LEAID ACKNOWLEDGES UNSUPPORTED USS ENVIRONMENT
<> LEAID LEAID112 ABEND-AID PROCESSING SUPPRESSED
<> LEAID PROCESSING COMPLETE. RC=4
[1] + Done(146) arstblsp -a 3 -g 'AGABC' -I 'PARSDB123'
  84348434      Abnormal Termination    ./arstblsp

Any ideas?

Thanks

Does anyone know what the valid Date Range for ORS is?

i.e.

The biggest date ORS allows is   December 31, 2099

The smallest date allowed in ORS is January 1, 1900

And

Is it define by the CMOD software or the backend database, or?

Thanks

z/OS Server / "Indexer Information" mainframe vs windows.
« on: November 29, 2011, 08:44:44 AM »
Hello

My question is regarding ?Indexer Information?(OS/390) and how its priority is handled in the Z/0S mainframe environment.

My system loads notices into IBM OD CM via JCL in the mainframe environment,
and we define our ?Indexer Information? in the mainframe environment too.

We create Application & App Groups using the Windows ?OnDemand Administrator? application.

When we create, an Application there is a Tab for ?Indexer Information.?
I know the Index information goes here when you are loading in the windows environment;
but I am loading in the mainframe environment.

Does this (windows) ?Indexer Information? interact with the ?Indexer Information? I have in the mainframe environment?

Does one override the other?

Do they complement each other (do they combine)?

Or what?

Thanks for your time.

Hello & Thanks for the reply.
By ?Occasionally? I mean,  in a batch of 1000 notices to  be loaded, maybe 7 have the ssn in the improper location.
And it has to be done automatically.

I am looking for something similar to Trigger?s RECORDRANGE option
TRIGGER3 = *,35,X'C4C4C4',(TYPE=GROUP,RECORDRANGE=(09,13))

I have been looking into the OFFSET functionality, but no luck yet

FIELD1=*,*,15,(TRIGGER=2,OFFSET=(49:63,50:64),MASK='===-==-=======')

Report Indexing / Help! Moving Field

Hello

I am an OnDemand Novice and I need some help please.

I have a field that is an SSN, and it usually is in the same location, but occasionally it moves over one character.
(For example)
   1)   Claim Number: 123-45-6789
   Vs
   2)   Claim Number:  123-45-6789
       (in example 2 there are 2 spaces between : and 1, while in example 1 there is only 1 space.)

Currently I have something like this:
   FIELD1 = 0,14,15,(TRIGGER=2,BASE=TRIGGER)
   TRIGGER2 = 8,*,X'C39381899440D5A4948285997A',(TYPE=GROUP)  /* Claim Number */

Which works fine for example 1, but when I hit example 2 the value ?UNK? is stored.
Is there a way I can handle example 2 easily?

Thanks
