z/OS Server / Re: OnDemand 7.1.2.10 & 8.3 (8.4?) availability on z/OS?
« on: February 12, 2008, 09:17:34 AM »
8.4 is available now. The install files are part of a new PID. Here's what we were given to get the new code:

Ordering is done through ShopzSeries as is described in the announcement letter.

(See attached file: ODzOS_V84_New_Nov62007_ENUS207294.pdf)

One can get the code on tapes or downloaded. I have been able to order it
for my own use. There is a new program number and new FMIDs for the
Base/ODF that are listed below.

OD z/OS V8.4
Program Number 5697-N93
FMID:
Base - H272841
ODF - J272842
ACIF - HQN2231 (same as in V7.1)

If one currently has OD z/OS V7.1 then I believe there is no charge when
ordering V8.4. ODWEK is included in the Base and at no extra charge.

Is this a true CM as in Content Manager, or CMOD as in Content Manager OnDemand?  the focus of the board has been CMOD so far. If CM & CMOD users frequent the board, you might get your question answered.

8.4 for z/OS was announced, but does not have a release date yet. 7.1.2.9 is the latest for z/OS that's available for GA.

z/OS Server / Generic indexer help needed
« on: March 23, 2007, 06:22:23 AM »
We're trying to use the cheap method of storing a PDF file, and I need some help. I'm using the generic indexer with a PDF file and an index file, but every time I try to load the file, it give me the following error msg:

arsload: Using /od/ars/tmp for temporary files
arsload: Processing file >/od/ars/tmp/16844032 (DD:EINSERT-...PATH=.SPECIFIED...)<
arsload: 03/20/07 13:08:07 -- Indexing started, --UNKNOWN-- bytes to process
arsload: Generic Indexer requires the data to have already been indexed.  Index the data or verify your input file and resubmit the
job
arsload: Output/Indexer file was not created
arsload: 03/20/07 13:08:07 Indexing failed
arsload: Processing failed for file >/od/ars/tmp/16844032 (DD:EINSERT-...PATH=.SPECIFIED...)<
arsload: Processing has stopped.  The remaining files will NOT be processed.

Any ideas?  This is new developement work for us.

General / Re: OD2.1 Postingdate problem
« on: March 13, 2007, 10:34:41 AM »
michael- we've had this when we were on V2. Check for a single TLE repeated in the file twice in the same statement where none of the others are repeated. Example:

ACCT:
Date:
Name:
ACCT:

Notice ACCT is repeated, but the other TLE values are not.

Other / Re: AFP Display Messed up in Fat Client and ODWEK
« on: March 08, 2007, 08:23:50 AM »
Has you ODWEK team also mapped the fonts?  This is required also for proper display. Do they get any errors during display? You mention the transformer, but are you doing that before presentment on ODWEK?

Steve, when we've seen this, there has been a duplicate TLE for a single statement/document, but not for all. Check the failing record for such a condition. (like below where account is duplicated but the rest of the TLEs aren't.
