WEBI interface / Font mapping
« on: September 12, 2012, 07:10:38 AM »
Hi,  We are running mainframe reports to CMOD...The issue we are having is with the fonts being used on the mainframe not being able to display correctly in CMOD...I'm guessing it's because these are mainframe fonts and not PC fonts so there is no relationship...How do you map a mainframe font to CMOD so the data displays correctly?...Is there some 'table' that needs updated on the CMOD server?...If so, where is it located?...Also, once you determine what needs updated, how do you determine what mainframe font best matches a PC font or is it just trial and error?...It must be noted that our users are using the webi client and not the desktop client of CMOD....

WEBI interface / Downloading Document Properties issues using webi 1.0.4
« on: September 12, 2012, 06:45:50 AM »
We're having issues downloading document properties...When opening up as a .csv file, the columns aren't staying in place for the indexes...The information for a certain heading is appearing under a different column heading...This seems to be on those reports with excessive indexes (up to 19)..Alsp, the Posting Date isn't showing correctly....What's strange is we get the same results with we do a "Email Link"...After receiving the link in an email and opening it, we get  the same strange results we get when attempting to do a download document properties.

Tips and Tricks / Downloading from Ondemand web interface
« on: August 30, 2012, 09:59:55 AM »
Hi,  we have a user attempting to use the download option for the web client for Ondemand...They select the report and specific search criteria..after the results the then click the Download ICON which then prompts them to save the properties.csv file under the download directory on the persons PC......The issues is when the file is opened (in excel) the 3 search field isn't working...The results are being shown under the search field heading but is being pushed under another field to the right and being cut off...It must be noted that this report has over 25 indexes (fields) and it maybe that the .csv format cannot handle that many columns...I've tried doing a "save as" and saving it as a .xls file with no better results...I've tried the same thing using a report with only 5 fields and it works with no problems...Any idea how to get this to work with a report with so many fields?

I've attached a screen shot of the .csv file...The issue is with the RELATED REFERENCE field...It's not being populated correctly but is being pushed out to the DIRECTION I/O field and is only taking the first 3 characters (201)...The field itself is 16 characterss

Report Indexing / Ingesting an XML document into OnDemand
« on: March 15, 2012, 07:01:00 AM »
Hi, We have some users who want to load XML documents into OnDemand...We've successfully been able to load PDF, AFP and text documents...I've read from various posts that in order to import other formats into you use the GENERIC indexer....When doing so we get the following msg, "arsload: Generic Indexer requires the data to have already been indexed.  Index the data or verify your input file and resubmit the job"..I've read that an index file must be created...I'm just not sure how to create this and where it is stored...We are looking for the users to send their XML documents directly to our OnDemand Server and be collected by ARSLOAD...This is how we are currently doing our PDF's....Any help would be appreciated...Thanks!
