I got the following from my cohort Theo:

Java just released JRE V1.7.0_51 which will block access for any applications missing signatures as described in the technote link below.  In general Java updates are automatic and this will take effect in many environments.  This technote is essential to avoid any delay to the resolution of problems related to this JRE level.



Security warning messages or blocking for Java applets might occur in IBM ECM web clients because of changed signing requirements in the Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
