How to select index for table reorg
« on: January 30, 2008, 11:03:56 AM »
We are using CM on Windows.  I have run DB2 reorgchk and am trying to determine tables/indexes to reorg.  One table has multiple indexes that indicate an unfavorable cluster ratio.  Only one of these indexes can be used to sequence the table.  But, which one?  Since we don't define the tables (CM does) we have no idea.  If I reorg the table and don't specify an index, DB2 will sequence the table based on the clustering index.  But if none of the indexes specifies clustered, no sequence will be used.  How do I determine which index will or should be used to sequence the table?

Is this a true CM as in Content Manager, or CMOD as in Content Manager OnDemand?  the focus of the board has been CMOD so far. If CM & CMOD users frequent the board, you might get your question answered.

I am using Content Manager.  I was having trouble finding a true CM site to post on, so I decided to try here.  Do you happen to know of any true CM sites where I could post?
