Hello,
I searched the z/OS forum for any questions regarding recovering CMOD during a disaster exercise but couldn't find any.
My question is how do you "offload" your data from an exercise and then "restore" it.
With our current output management product we build new databases, and of course have the started tasks running during the exercise. Then when we are ready to shut down and offload the data we simply copy everything to tapes (virtual) and when we bring those tapes back to our production environment we have all of the output that got created during the exercise. Now I know that its up to each customer to create their own disaster recovery plan but I wanted to get some input on how others are doing it. Since CMOD uses DB2 databases there is a big difference in how we are currently doing it with our current product and how it needs to be done with CMOD.
I look forward to any assistance.
We are running CMOD 9.5.06 on z/OS 2.2 operating systems.
Thanks

Doug
