ICN Document Download
« on: December 22, 2017, 11:30:56 AM »
When a user logs into ICN to access CMOD, he/she is given a list of docs from the Folder selected.  If you right click on one of the line data document icons and select download/as original, it opens in binary.  Any ideas how to display it in ascii?  Yes I have adobe reader but that doesn't help.  One can also use the dropdown "actions" located under "search results" and perform the same operation.

Thanks in advance for your help!

What's the format of the document?  Like, when you load it, what's the Application data type?  AFP?  Line data?  PDF?

Hey Justin.  Thanks for the reply.  It's a line data document.  We gave the guy a workaround, ie, asked him to open the document and save it.  But I got curious and opened a PMR on the subject.  That functionality should work if it's a part of the ICN Viewer.  I'm sure he won't be the only one asking about it.

We had the same question..Line data also....We thought you could do a search and from those results, highlight each index and them and then under the ACTIONS do a DOWNLOAD...Received the same results as Steven..Workaround was the same, had to open each index to view it and then do the download...More cumbersome if you want to do many indexes due to having to open each up one at a time...
