Legal hold (ERM)
« on: March 12, 2019, 11:14:31 AM »
We can place individual documents on legal hold.  How can we place a folder or Application Group on legal hold?

I suspect the best way would be with arsdoc add_hold, and specifying an Application Group, and an SQL parameter like where cust_num = '%'.

As such you cannot.
As Justin said the only way to do it, is to put EVERY document in your AG, or all the AGs references with the folder with an hold, which means either with the command "arsdoc add_hold" or use the Java API of ODWEK.

For an application, change the SQL statement to search for the AppID Field, like RPT_TYPE='ABC123'.

If it is a new application group have a look at Implied Hold

"When Content Manager OnDemand loads documents, it applies a hold to all the documents in that load. You can apply this type of hold only to documents in new application groups. Use this type of hold if you are using another solution as your retention management tool."

This would be the preferred solution for large scale holds.
