Storage Node File Location
« on: August 20, 2019, 07:34:48 PM »
For some reason I can't find the Location for a Storage Node in use .. Users are having issue access older files and this was setup before my time.

The LibSrv is setup a Cache Only

However the old Storage Node appears to be setup with TSM
And TSM Client or nothing is setup on the Server

What am I missing here ... I attached a jpg screen shot of the Storage Node setup

How do I tell where the files are stored

The pri_nid and sec_nid columns in the data table should give you some clues.

If there's no TSM Client on the machine, you're missing the information that you'd normally require to access those documents.

Your best bet is to ask the local TSM admins to check for the nodename on any of the servers they administrate.  Some sites will opt to put data into their enterprise TSM backup server for "simplicity", even though it causes way more problems than what it's worth.
