Display Document Location (Folder)
« on: February 28, 2020, 01:04:47 PM »
Does anyone know if disabling the Display Document Location have much of an effect on performance.

I noticed most of our folders have it enabled but don't really see the need since all of our documents are cache storage.

Am I missing something ?

It used to have a huge effect on query performance, as it searched secondary storage for the objects.  In recent versions, performance is better, but there's still a non-negligible impact as it searches the cache for every document in the hitlist.

If you only have cache, then there's no point to that setting -- you know where everything is.  :)
