Using Nitro for PDF viewing
« on: July 27, 2020, 12:36:27 PM »
Greetings,
Has anyone had the opportunity to try and use Nitro PDF to view PDF documents with the windows client instead of adobe acrobat?  The only current work around we were able to find was to set the default file association for .pdf to use microsoft edge, but we lose quite a bit of the functionality.  Hoping someone has some knowledge on this since Nitro has been around for a while now.

I suppose it depends on what type of functionality you want.  If it's just viewing PDFs, you should be able to set file associations and view with any PDF reader.  For any additional functionality, it's going to create a lot of work for IBM to be able to support another PDF utility's API.

Maybe submit an Enhancement Request with a few more details about your use case and what you'd want to see that's different from the existing functionality?
