Chaning Date that is set as Segmet Date
« on: March 18, 2011, 01:37:55 PM »
Is there a way to cahnge the sement date to another date?  An exmaple would be where the Upload_Date is currently being used as the segment date and the customer wants to change the sement date to use the Check_Date.  Both dates are currently contained in the index.

Thanks,

RS

The short answer is: not without reloading the data.

The segment date is critical to the operation of CMOD - it tells CMOD which tables to search, and when documents (or loads, or tables) are set to expire.  There's no supported way to do this.  Even the unsupported ways to make this change will probably impact search performance negatively.

Thanks Jusin.

That is what I assumed, but thouhgt I would throw it out there to see if there was a way that I was not aware of.
