ARS1128E during arsdoc get & arsload in AIX
« on: August 17, 2011, 06:11:57 AM »
Hi all,

I obtain a ARS1128E message during arsdoc get & arsload operation on the same server between 2 APP GR RMA and RMX. "RMX" duplicated from "RMA".  Both these documents in Indexer Generic format. Server is an AIX 5.4 + CM/OD 7.1.2.0    ;D
Chronology of the operations :
1) Doc get: /usr/lpp/ars/bin/arsdoc get -F RMA_RXA.parmf  -h <archive_name>  -uxxxxx -pxxxx -v

2) The needed RMA_RXA.parmf :
[-a][-c][-g][-N][-d /ondemand][-f "RMA"][-G RMA][-i "WHERE LOADING_DATE between 1 and 15340"][-o "rm2rx_a"]

3) Then I obtain :
rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA.ind
rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA.out
rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA.res
rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA.ind
rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA.out
rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA.res  and so on......

4) Reload : /usr/lpp/ars/bin/arsload -I <archive_name> -uxxxxx -pxxxx -X G -g RMX   -vfn    rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA
               /usr/lpp/ars/bin/arsload -I <archive_name> -uxxxxx -pxxxx -X G -g RMX   -vfn    rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA

Then, I obtain the following message (I have redirected all messages in a single file) :
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
arsload: Processing file >rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA<
arsload: 08/17/11 09:43:10 -- Loading started, 5221476 bytes to process
Resource rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA.res matches the resource >13-1-0<
Row 1:  The string "H015P1" has the column delimiter in it
Loaded 0 rows into the database
arsload: 08/17/11 09:43:11 Loading failed
arsload: Processing failed for file >rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA<
arsload: Processing has stopped.  The remaining files will NOT be processed.

arsload: Processing file >rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA<
arsload: 08/17/11 09:43:11 -- Loading started, 5443 bytes to process
Resource rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA.res matches the resource >15-1-0<
OnDemand Load Id = >5739-1-0-43FAA-14994-14994<
Loaded 1 rows into the database
Document compression type used - OD77.  Bytes Stored = >1872<
arsload: 08/17/11 09:43:12 Loading completed
arsload: Processing successful for file >rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA<
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(I believe this message is the ARS1128E ......................)

When I compare the rM2rX_a.31.RMA.RMA.ind & rM2rX_a.34.RMA.RMA.ind, I don't see any differences.
The fields terminate all with an hexadecimal '2020' ; Even if I suppressed them all, same problem ..
So, what are the "column delimiter" indicated as above ?

Best thanks by advance.

Please include the IND file entry.  I have found in the past that an undisplayable character causes the error.  The H015P1 could look something like this in your IND file  -

H01   5P1

The problem is that the column you're extracting has a delimiter in it -- likely an invisible tab character that you can't see in your favourite text editor.

Also, extracting all these documents at once is a Bad Idea.  If your AG is configured to expire by load (the default), the earlier documents won't expire until the LAST document expires.
