Impossible to open "LINE" file in thin client

Hello,

We migrated cmod from 8.4.0.3 to 8.5.0.4 two days ago and users have a problem to open files "LINE" parameter in application (white page in thin client). I have seen in IBM doc that is the same parameter in "MIMES TYPES" for LINE=application/line but change for LineViewing from LineViewing=applet to LineViewing=html
Is somebody had already have this problem and help me?

Can you give more detail as to your problem?

Is there an error message or does data just not display?

Where does the ODWEK server run?  On z/OS?  On another platform?

What level of ODWEK are you running?

The first thing I'd do is make sure cache is cleared:

Phiippe - right after 8.5.0.4 there were two ODWEK APARs:

PM55450 WITH CACHEDOCS=1 ODWEK CGI/SERVLET CAN FAIL TO RETRIEVE DOCUMENTS
                                             
PM57588 ODWEK CGI/SERVLET CAN FAIL TO RETRIEVE DOCUMENT FROM CACHE WITH CACHEDOCS=1 AND ADDFIELDSTODOCID=1 

You should ensure you have those fixes on your system.

Hi Ed,

We already have the 2 PTF updated for ODWEK. The version of ODWEK is migrated in the same time of CMOD 8.5, i don't know the level. I just have cleared the java cache but i have the same problem to display document in LINE format in thin client. CMOD is on ZOS system v1r11, ODWEK is implemented on USS. The document is correctly loaded, it's displayable in the thick client not in thin client (white page). Is it a problem with parameter in MIMES TYPES?

Hi Ed,

We have resolved our problem. The display problem was due to a bug version 2 of ODLineDataViewer. Our system team forced to version 1 in arswww.ini and now it's possible to view LINE document in thin client. Do you know this problem with the new version?

Philippe - I have not heard of this problem.

Please open up a trouble report with IBM.

I don't know if it makes a difference but the level of java was never mentioned here.

Also, 8.5.0.6 is out now, if you feel adventurous.
