How to upload a file (say text file) in local server?
« on: February 12, 2014, 10:55:34 PM »
Hi,

What I am aware of and know is until and unless we have ondemand (ARS*) installed on our systems, we cannot upload any documents in ondemand.
But still, by any chance, is there a way to upload a file in ondemand local servers? If there is any chance to do that, it would be great to practice a few things.

Thanks
Abhinav

I am really confused with what you are asking, are you talking about having ARSLOAD pickup a file and load it via ACIF, PDF, Xenos, etc??

Or do you want to upload a file via the web and then call the ODWEK API's to do the rest (pass to the back end, load/index, and maybe reconcile??)

If you mean loading a file into the 'local server' in the Administrative Client, then no.  The server software is required, as it has the components you need -- ACIF, arsload, etc.

If your company is entitled to use CMOD, then you can install and configure a 'development' system on a local PC or an old server at no additional cost.

If you do not currently have an entitlement, but you're an IBM Business Partner, check to see if your company has purchased the Software Access Catalog, where you can download IBM software for training purposes.
