TSM 6.x Installation
« on: March 05, 2014, 09:37:10 AM »
We are currently running 5.5 TSM.  We are looking to upgrade to 6.x, however, I have an issue with the fact that 6.x has its own db2 database.  CMOD has its db2 database, which means there would be two db2 databases for CMOD.  Can TSM 6.x and CMOD db2 databases live on the same server, and if so, how does one code for the TSM db2 database, so as to keep them separate but functional?

Hey Glenn.

As long as you go to TSM 6.3.x or higher, you'll be fine.  The only big issue is that you're going to need more RAM.  12 to 16GB is recommended.  Follow the plan in the Migration Guide, and you shouldn't have too many problems.
