Changed ApplGrp expiration type from SEGMENT to LOAD
« on: April 17, 2016, 07:57:06 PM »
Does CMOD 9.5 can changed application group's expiration type from SEGMENT to LOAD?

We have problem since older version of CMOD that old implementer has set expiration type to SEGMENT, this will cause to arsmaint delete only object file from CMOD but leave orphan index in CMOD.

If not, have anyone has any workaround to do this?
Because I see some information about changing retention setting on Redbook as below

Convert application groups to type LOAD

There's no published method for this.

If you want to do this on your own, you need to unload all the old data, and reload it.

There are many potential advantages to this -- opportunities for improved compression, better table segmentation, optimized segment sizes, etc.
