TSM MAXSCRATCH
« on: November 03, 2011, 06:52:06 AM »
We currently have 120 tapes in a ts3310 library and  our MAXSCRATCH is set at 100 and Number of scratch volumes used is at 100.

 Maximum Scratch Volumes Allowed: 100
Number of Scratch Volumes Used: 100

To update the MAXSCRATCH do I only have to run the following or is there anything special that I need to do besides this?

update stgpool tier3pool maxscratch=110

Thanks,
Russell

Set it to the number of blank tapes you have in the library.  So, it sounds like you used 100 tapes.  If you added 100 more slots to the library and added 100 more blank tapes, you'd increase the number to 200.
