OnDemand 8.4

Has anyone upgraded OnDemand for Windows from 8.3 to 8.4 yet?
Is their anything I should look out for or anything special I should do before upgrading?

We are thinking of doing this soon, but we run on AIX 5L.   Just out of curiousity, does anyone know how 8.3's latest alternate release identifier of 7.1.2.9 follows  for release 8.4?

I'm wondering if IBM will just call it 8.4, or is it something like 7.1.3.0 or 7.2.0.0?

Thank you,

It is my understanding that the next z/OS release after 7.1.2.9 will be 8.4 bringing it to the same release designation as MP. It will be a simple PTF and is planned for mid-November.

We installed a newOD MP 8.4 Fix Pak 3 in October and migtated our data over from out old MP 7.1.2.6 system, and do to a few bugs  we had to upgraded to 8.4.1.0 last weekend.  It was pretty stratight forward. Warning - If your using EIP 8.2 in your shop do not upgrade OD until you take EIP to 8.4.  Other wise your OD connector will not work.   The only other issue is that after 8.4 was up and running in production we notice that the arsload service was stopping several times a day and found that when a ( , ) comma was used in any search field in the windows client it shut down the system.  Fix Pack 8.4.1.0 fixes this problem.  Good luck to ya.
