Check where your /arstmp is defined and make sure that has enough space is where I would start first.

Hi Jeff,
The arstmp location has more than 3gb of free space. I even tried to change it to a file system having 90gb of free space still the same error.

That's a known bug that was supposed to have been fixed in 8.4.1.9.

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21616417

Open a PMR with IBM and let them know that this APAR appears in 8.5.x.

The fix isn't documented in the readme for 8.5.0.6, but you never know.  ;)

Justin you are correct. I had opened a PMR with IBM regarding this and the support told me this is a bug and the fix will be out in 8.5.0.7 which is expected some time in 3rd quarter this year. Have requested an hot fix hopefully should get one.

Thanks,
Siva

With all the bugs in 8.5.0.6, hopefully we'll get a patch sooner.  I think 8.5.0.6 was released in September 2012, so hopefully we don't have to wait until July/August/September for a patch.

Hello Justin,

For your chasing of 8.5.0.6 bugs :-) I've been with a customer Friday, and apparently between 8.5.0.5 and 8.5.0.6 there were some regression with AFP Fonts handling in the rendering module of CMOD Client.

It was corrected in 9.0.0.1, so I hope it will be part of the 8.5.0.7 package... nevertheless my customer won't wait for 8.5.0.7 :-) they have nearly already decided (well at the end of this week, if their tests are successful) that they will use the 9.0.0.1 client directly.
And they won't use 8.5.0.5 because for some other bugs about rotation of graphics in AFP...

Sincerely yours,
Alessandro

Hello Folks,
We upgraded to 8.5.0.6 and applied the hotfix and the issue is now resolved. So any one upgrading to 8.5.0.6 might want to consider the hotfix and IBM per policy refused to give hotfix on the older 8.5.0.5

Thanks,
Siva

Hi all,

Has anyone tried this successfully on 8.5.0.5 with the hotfix applied?

Since we are already with 8.5.0.10, why still using 8.5.0.5 which has his share of bugs?
8.5.0.5 is more than 2-3 years old.

In all cases, if you install the hotfix, you are not supported, because as long as the new fix pack is available, then you should stop using this hot fix.

So please... upgrade to the latest fp, and be aware that cmod V8.5 is out of support by end of April 2016... so plan your upgrade.
